Give yourself an opertunity and don’t preliminary your options. I have a early 2000s Seamaster with the electric blue dial am9ng others and mentally rejected the possible purchase of the 2018 or later Seamaster because it is larger and not as ‘dressy’ as the Bond era Seamasters. I had decided that if I ever warmed up to the fastest Seamasters my choice would be the black dial. A jewelry store owner friend offered a silver dial version pre-owned Seamaster and it didn’t appeal to me initially because I thought it was too over the top. Walked into store one day and my friend offered me the silver dialed Seamaster for a bargain and purchased it hesitantly. I have since put it on a mesh dial and it is my most used dial above other favorites such as my Tudor reverse panda, a GS sbgm221, a 41mm reverse panda Navitimer and others. The latest Seamaster I now considers by far the best diver and way above it’s price point by far.
