Opinions masquerading as facts. I cannot see how the Rolex GMT could even make the list, since they do not seem to ever be for sale, except thru secondary dealers, so I think anything Rolex is disqualified.
Rolex forces ADs to take whatever they’re willing to sell them. They distribute a mix of watches that guarantee a maximum profit. You’ll never go into a Rolex AD and see one of their models discounted. I’ve seen Omega, Zenith, Cartier, and other brands discounted up to 60% in their ADs because they’ve started collecting dust. A Rolex AD knows no matter what, if a customer wants a Rolex, they can wait 10 years for a Daytona, 5 years for a GMT, or with any luck, get an Oyster Perpetual within 6 months which 99% of people opt to do.

monaco is in my private opinion my coolest watch. it will remain the sexiest square in the world heheh. as for me speedmaster has always been my favorite but I prefer the orange Planet Ocean Michael Phelps. I don’t even dream about an AP watch for now. A Rolex even more so because it’s expensive, too common and mainly bought by Polish Youtubers (sic!)

There is no freaking way the AP 15407 was a best seller by volume of transactions. A very unique watch at $140k USD, selling more than a Monaco or El Primero? Come on now!
Also, regarding the El Primero, can you please ask Zenith to get rid of the 4:30 date window (and the 3 o’clock spastic 10-second subdial on the Defy Skyline, while we’re at it)?

Tissot has some clear winners – you get mechanical Swiss watches at reasonable prices.
Same for Longines. Both look better than Tudors.
Tissot. Even at subjective standpoint … tell him he’s dreaming!

I can’t believe these mega expensive watches are out selling Times, Bullova, Citizen watches etc. Maybe the author is a mega millionaire and his radar is only on very expensive time pieces.

Why wouldn’t at least one lower priced watch have made the list. This roster of “best sellers” looks like ad for the brands represented.

Owing an Speed Master Snoopy number 0975/5441 just shows that Omega has definitely won the niche where this and other models of the Speed Master line has an unbroken sales record Worldwide.
Would be nice if it was stated in the article how they are best-selling. Is it in numbers of watches or in euros? I can’t beliece that these watches are the most sold in numbers, and it would also be interesting to also see which brands/models that are most-selling in numbers.
If these expensive and sought after watches really are the most selling watches in numbers, it would be nice with an explanation that sets this in perspective
Hi, thank you for reading to carefully and for your feedback of course! To clear it up: The list is the top 10 highest-revenue watches per brand. And we should have made that more clear – note taken and sorry for the confusion!
You should retroactively add this as an edit, at the top of the article. Shouldn’t have to search for it in the comments section…

Talks about “Batman” being the number 1 watch, shows picture of a “Batgirl”. Batman is on Oyster, Batgirl is on Jubilee. Come on Chrono that’s a horrible rookie mistake.
Just wanted to check if you are reading carefully 😉 Thanks for the feedback!

Well, I’ve got a GMTM2(SS/Black dial & bezel) and a Moonwatch(Alaska Project) and a Monaco (1st Steve M. edition) so I’m on board. Also, have had them all since around 2008 or so! Nice to see that they’re still holding up. I will have a Black Bay(TBD) and a GS(Soko) in the near future so it’s nice to have at least some of my preferences affirmed. I’d like to have a Tortue and a Gondolo or Calatrava at some point, and will. Have never been interested in the others really. Not a fan of AP at yawned. Frankenstein were a watch he’d be an AP. Also never like the subdials on the Zenith so jammed in it would make a Feng Shui master sweat…and the VC is a yawner.

Best selling based on what? Units, revenue, fan “likes”?

I will admit at first I was apprehensive about the best selling watch, then I took a step back from the question and it made perfect sense. In fact, the GMT, alongside every other Rolex index, is always unavailable or some other story from the AD to a legitimate buyer- but somehow this does not preclude the secondary sellers from acquiring an unlimited number of GMTs (and others) to flip- so yes indeed, not the best selling watch in the world because its actual production may very well be a rumor, but second hand, absolutely.

can you clarify this article’s intention? is it the
A. best selling watch from each popular brand
B. top 10 watches sold

You can get most of this feel buying the Omega / Swatch Speedmaster Snoopy.
Not the same thing.

I suspect they are the best sellers of the brands chosen by the writer, as opposed to ‘unit’ sales or total value of units sold.
Agreed. This list seems to be made up in my opinion

Hi Hank, it is a top 10 list basend on our sales data on Chrono24.
Is this by dollar value? Seems hard to believe that a $100k Patek sold the 3rd most units this year.
Love the Zenith chronomaster glad it made the list. I bought 2 of them this yr white dial and all green bezel n dial.
