I have a gilt dial BB58 39mm. It lives on a 12-unit watchbox along with a few more expensive Omegas, Concords, and Seiko Marinemasters 200 & 300s. The Tudor beats all of them, and still is my favorite watch. It is a masterpiece. There is absolutely something about that watch that endures. The fit, the finish, the feel, the charm, and the sum of its parts catapults it above the rest. It is just beloved. This is the watch that hooked me into collecting. Need I say more…

I have just purchased the 39, I find it a really modern, well executed piece. I have never seen titanium before, and I really love the grey matt vibe. I love the BB range but I am not a fan of the domed crystal, I love the crystal on the pelagos. I have the Pro, GMT and Ranger. Tudor is doing amazing things with watches.

The 58 has more character and warmth and mimics the original Tudor 7924 reference. The Pelagos is a slimmed down version of its beefier brother but I feel that the latter will see more “action in the field (or water) than the former.
Pelagos for function, BB58 for form.
