Adressing the elephant in the room – but where is China in this list? Second largest market in the world.

Great read. I’m surprised at the popularity of Seiko – still a fan favorite.

Very scrutinized essay and interesting article. Marked it in my mailbox.

Thank you, Sir Cunningham, for a very interesting and informative article…much appreciated.

I currently own an even dozen watches but I’m in the minor league. Given my collections total value I am definitely not a major player.

I own a 1985 Rolex Submariner bought new…with all papers and box. Completely refurbished by Rolex a few years ago that looks as new. It’s elegant and timeless and has been my favorite for 38 years. The dial and hands are new as is the works… for a mere $2500, Rolex did me really well.

A Corum $20 Gold battery type (recently refurbished as well) that I bought new with box and papers.

Two Tag Heuer:
• Manchester United Red Skeleton Carrera bought on Chrono24 – terrific experience – had to sign HomeLand Security form to get shipment completed via FedEx… really?
• Formula 1 43MM (I think?) Calibre 16 bought on cruise with all papers and box. This watch has carbon fiber center links that are burnished with SS outer links…carbon bezel with red accent tachymetre script on bezel…nice looking piece.

A Raymond Weil auto (Bob Marley Edition)…bought on Celebrity cruise.

A Rado Auto Black dial “Infinity style” (my wife named it as it has no bezel which makes the black face run outwards to the edge taking the eyes with it – very cool looking piece with black Ceramic center links adjacent to SS outer links…all curved. This piece is a looker as it captures the eye in such a manner that states value. This inexpensive watch shows really well as it’s dressy. We call it my Sorrento Watch as I saw it in a window store front there last year during a trip to Italy and had to have it.

A Shinola Canfield White dial with Black Ceramic bezel battery Chrono – well-made piece that keeps great time with hands that always line up as they travel around the clock…great buy for under $1000.

A Brietling ChronoMat 4-year 44MM with Gold and Ceramic quarter-hour markers and 4 sub dials…moon phase and all. I wish I knew more about how to set it up but it’s one drop-dead gorgeous wotk of art with SS bullet link band. This piece shows itself extremely well leaving zero doubt about its value—cost well worth it (IMO).

My latest buy is the new Tudor 41MM Black Bay Gold & SS band with Champagne dial Chrono – just took delivery last week from Pensacola’s largest, oldest 3-generation family store…my longtime friends, Corbett Davis family (1 week old). I have yet to wear this one. I keep it properly located adjacent to my Submariner in my winder.

A German cheaper piece that (seemed like a good idea at the time) which is typically German sterile-looking all gray dull tone metal with lighter aluminum color dial Lilenthal Berlin Chronograph with two black sub dials with red hands plus one more sub dial (O-Ring circle surround with one hand – this sub dial is etched into the main dial’s face vs being a standalone sub. The main hands are white with black outlines. It’s an unusual piece.

An older Mathey Tissot gold boxey-face with all serrated wannabe gold links quartz…not an expensive piece but wearable for the right occasion. I recently had it refurbished as well.

A Tissot battery 1853 model that looks great with its plainness and simplistic round dial.

That’s my collection. I hope you make time to review.

Best to you, Professor Cunningham.
p.s. Where can I buy your books?
